About Ankit

Ankit completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Life Sciences from Presidency University. During his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, he was the class representative. His research interests lie in exploring the influence of neuroendocrine systems on behaviour in people with mental health disorders.

In his spare time, he loves reading classic or fantasy fiction, and playing chess.

Examining stress and cognitive-affect processing in emotion disorders

Stress and sex-specificity in emotion disorder remains poorly understood. This PhD project plans to examine psychophysiological effects of stress (hormone and ERP response) cognitive [Iowa gambling task] and affect response in anxiety-depression.
