About Sathish
Sathish completed a Master of Science in Energy Science and Engineering from IIT-Guwahati where he investigated the performance of the Darrieus Wind Turbine with Flow control measures. Prior to that, Sathish graduated with a Bachelor degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Jeppiaar Engineering College, Anna University. His research interest lies in Fluid Dynamics through Nature’s lens. Sathish also worked as a JRF in Advanced Systems Laboratory, DRDO and is pursuing a MA-Psychology in distance mode at IGNOU.

Exploring the interactions between ramping wind events (fronts and thunderstorms) and wind farms
Wind power ramp events often occur when a frontal system or lines of thunderstorms pass over a wind farm. This project will explore the flow physics associated these meteorological phenomena and their interaction wind farms through meso/micro-scale simulations and comparison with wind farm data.
