About Tania

Tania holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.

After graduation, Tania worked as a Research Assistant in a TISS project, which aimed to prepare a development plan in the mining affected villages of Gujarat. After that, she worked with the National Human Rights Commission of India where she dealt with human rights issues of labour, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens.

Tania is passionate about human rights and aims to work in field of evidence-based policy making in the future.

Regulating the Platform Economy in India and Australia

This project will investigate the regulation of digital platforms in India and Australia and in particular the challenges and opportunities related to the Equalisation Levy, an attempt to levy a Google Tax.
