About Neeraj

Neeraj Kumar has completed his Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, India. He is an associate member of the Aeronautical Society of India. He obtained his professional degree in the aero-mechanical stream from the Aeronautical Society of India. He worked as a research fellow in two defence research laboratories in India from 2016 to 2020 after completing his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from PRIST University, Tamilnadu, India. Subsequently, he worked as a Jr. Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, from September 2020 to September 2021. He has published several research articles in the field of mechanical and aerospace engineering in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. His Doctoral thesis is focused on controlling chaotic flutter in a wind turbine aerofoil. His areas of research interest include finite element analysis, computational mechanics, vibration control, and energy harvesting.

Project details

Control of Chaotic Flutter in a Wind Turbine Airfoil

The primary aim of this project is to develop and verify a method of control of the occurrence of chaotic flutter in a wind turbine blade section to provide more efficient insight into its occurrence and avoidance in wind energy farms.
