About Neshwin

Neshwin holds a Master of Technology in renewable energy engineering and Management and a Bachelor of Technology in electrical engineering. Neshwin has been a researcher at The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi, and has experience in energy system modelling. He has used and developed models to study energy transition pathways in the power sector in India and has published multiple research papers and reports on various topics related to the grid integration of renewable energy in India.
He aims to develop a more robust framework that could help policymakers make more informed policy strategies for a cost-effective and equitable transition in the electricity sector through his current research.

Project details

Informing institutional design for an efficient and equitable electricity sector transition in India

The proposed research will investigate the dynamics of how insufficient cost recovery affects India’s electricity transition outcomes. It will also identify policy strategies that could address both cost recovery and electricity transition objectives in a cost-effective and equitable manner.
