About Sagar

Sagar received his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from VTU Belagavi. Before joining the UQIDAR program, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow at IIT Dharwad. His research interests include developing and using computational models to simulate fluid flows. He has prior experience in using both conventional and moderately new CFD tools.

Multiscale modelling for characterisation of particle transport and retention in porous media

Particle laden flow through porous media is at the heart of energy solutions such as gas/oil recovery and carbon sequestration. The project aims to couple stochastic population balance equation to a particle-resolved pore scale network model, resulting in a multiscale solution of this complex flow.
